And the difference is, we will send them the money. The last guy, their guy, wouldn’t.

It's pronounced gif not gif

42

u/Greeneggz_N_Ham Sep 29 '22 edited Sep 29 '22

Yep there it is.

How can you do that to people? Even if you don't like them... I can't imagine a bunch of Klansmen without food, water, power and just not caring because they're assholes. Still people.

And I understand hatred... I just don't understand that kind of indifference.

17

u/JohnnyPeanutII Sep 29 '22

Because you would care about them as human beings, Klansmen are allowed to exist and attempt to further spread their ideals...

12

u/Retired-Pie Sep 29 '22

It's a very tough fact to live with. But as the American Constitution states, technically klansmen have the right to form the Klan, and think whatever they want, say what ever they want behind closed doors, and even legally perform protests.

What they are not allowed to do is commit violence either physical or mental to citizens or discriminate against them based on skin color. But there are LOADS of ways that they get around this is a business sense so they never have to hire a person of color.

While they are obviously abhorrent pieces of shit, they do have rights as people. And those rights include living/government protection. Whether they like it or not

5

u/JohnnyPeanutII Sep 29 '22 edited Sep 29 '22

Oh I never argued the legal stance. What I'm trying to get at it is that if you happen to find a klansman burning alive and you coincidentally have to go pee, you pee somewhere else, so as to let the klansman burn to death.

4

u/Retired-Pie Sep 29 '22

While I like to imagine myself doing that, honestly I don't think I could.

Morally although I despise people like that, I couldn't leave anyone but the absolute worst of the worst go through such a fate. Hitler, Dahmer, Ted bundy getting burned? Let those Fuckers burn. Pretty much anyone else though I would try to help.

Second, I want to prove they are hypocritical and that I and my thinking is superior. Even though they are literally garbage who deserve to burn alive, I'm still going to try saving them because I'm a better person than they are.

Lastly, that's kinda against the law in some states. If you purposefully ignore someone in active danger you could get charged, at least call 911 or something.

For Republicans, hypocrisy is a feature, not a flaw.

31

u/Wherewithall8878 Sep 29 '22

I think they’re confused and thinking that Biden conjured and sent the hurricane honestly.

The confusion started with former guy using a marker to draw (an incorrect) projected path of a hurricane a few years back. Now they think that presidents can direct hurricanes where to go.

24

u/USSMarauder Sep 29 '22

It's older than that

InfoWars claimed Obama was in control of Hurricane Sandy when it made landfall, so that he would get the most benefit for the election a few weeks later

7

u/Wherewithall8878 Sep 29 '22

Oh wow. They’re really uncovering some shit on that show. Genius level. Would love to see the data behind it. They should be working for NASA or MIT. Lol

So it wasn't the Jewish space lasers?

3

u/Wherewithall8878 Sep 30 '22

The current models don’t have a hurricane control setting. They only start wildfires. But the models in development can steer hurricanes, tornadoes, trigger earthquakes…

Source: guy behind the counter at a Jewish deli in NYC told me

3

u/Top_Shoe_9562 Sep 30 '22

Respect. Those guys behind the counter at Jewish deli's are a fantastic source of information.

When two towns burned down here in rural Washington, Trump took forever to release funds to the people who lost everything. These people voted for Trump too. When Biden became president, funds were sent almost immediately.

https://dnews.com/biden-releases-federal-funds-for-malden-pine-city/article_c917e55a-671c-11eb-a496-bf497bd6bebc.html

39

u/mad_titanz Sep 29 '22

I’m sure those towns will still vote for Trump, because Trump can be the one who burnt down their houses and still receive their votes.

13

u/NikiDeaf Sep 29 '22

This is so unfortunately true 😢

7

u/Aceswift007 Sep 29 '22

Fuck, Biden basically pre-approved aid for Florida, all DeSantis had to do is just agree, which was smart both for speed AND politics because he couldn't bitch properly about "Brandon no send monies for us"

4

u/KRWay Sep 29 '22

He’s so fucking dumb, he sent the funds to the State of Jefferson!

9

u/Khagan27 Sep 29 '22

State of Jefferson shell corporation owned by Kushner

16

u/Greeneggz_N_Ham Sep 29 '22

Yeah he went to PR and threw paper towels at people who desperately needed serious aide.

23

u/Kalikhead Sep 29 '22

Truth be told most of Trumpers don’t even think that PR is part of the US.

8

u/Greeneggz_N_Ham Sep 29 '22

It's not surprising. Because we're not taught that. We're not even shown that. I graduated high school in '99.

The maps we had didn't include Puerto Rico, Guam, the Philippines, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Marianas Islands. I don't know if that's still the case. But we had what's called a "logo map".

It says a lot about what the ownership class and the power structure in this country thinks of the people in these particular places.

I don't even think the ground level chuds like this guy even thinks to ask the feds / blue states. To them it's like manna from heaven. It just comes.

I used to think we're better for it by sending it over, to help our fellow countrymen, but they might have a point. We might be the suckers.

3

u/Spinach_Odd Sep 29 '22

Actually it's more like

Red states "Fuck Democrats! Now give us money! We cut taxes so we can't afford anything, then we said fuck it to urban planning and let people build wherever including on floodplains, cuz 'MURICA! We can do what we want! As long as what we want doesn't include butt stuff. NOW. GIVE. US. MONEY. You stupid libtards! And don't even DARE to think about asking us to help with your forest fires when they come! California on fire is just GOD punishing sinners!"

5

u/Cool-Story-Broh Sep 30 '22

They wouldn’t have to beg for money if they weren’t spending all their tax dollars to traffic immigrants.

5

u/Representative_Fun15 Sep 30 '22

Republicans and their base really play up the tough guy, boot straps angle, but actually whine the loudest and play the victim hardest when they don’t get what they want. Just a bunch insecure, fake tough guys whose states are the first to take federal handouts. Aside from maybe Florida and Texas, the remaining red states would be fked without Fed or blue state support. When you’re biggest export is stupidity and hate you’re fked.

29

u/-send_me_bitcoin- Sep 29 '22

Even Texas and Florida haven't accomplished anything through innovation. Congrats on sitting on top of huge oil deposits and 1,000 miles of beaches and good weather all year. Take away the resources and they're New Mexico. New York, Pennsylvania, Oregon and Washington thrive without those benefits, while California has mostly the same benefits and is single-handedly a top-10 world economy. Good on Utah and Idaho for getting the shaft on natural resources but still paying their bills, but they're very much the exceptions for red states.

13

u/projektZedex Sep 29 '22

Every time I mention how red states are usually a drain on a federal level, someone always has to mention "but Texas!"

If Texas was progressive, they might have ended up even wealthier.

5

u/ClearingFlags Sep 29 '22

It isn't even a might have scenario, Texas would be far more wealthy. I'm confident it would beat California handily. Imagine the flood of people and businesses and tech companies that would take full advantage of the benefits that would exist, and the sheer size of Texas.

Biden approved and prepared to send relief supplies to FL before DeathSantis even asked. But Republicans are pretending Biden screwed them just the same as what 45 would have done while they are getting the supplies. Fuck these people and their made up victim mentality lying bullshit. DeathSantis could have used that 12 million he wasted sending 50 migrants to MV and instead provide his entire state with bottled water.

3

So just trying to copy Lane Pittman but Lane will go out after hurricanes and help people. From my experience; when I lived in Florida and would do aid work, the fuck Biden crowd are the same types that point a gun at me when I’m going door to door trying to aid people. “You loot we shoot” coming out their mouth, not realizing their next door neighbor hasn’t had water this entire time.

3

u/bryanthawes Sep 29 '22

Yes, how fiscally responsible of Florida to take funds meant to boost the economy and aid with the pandemic, not spend that money for what it was meant to do (and in the process keep needy Floridians struggling), and use the interest to violate federal law by trafficking migrants through the US.

If that money isn't going to be spent, the federal government needs to reclaim thatoney and redistribute it where it is needed.

16

u/wearing_trousers_ Sep 29 '22

I’m 100% a Democrat, so before you downvote me, please know that. But, saying he received aid from Biden is not how we should think of it, IMO. It’s from the federal government whose job it is to help states that are in need, even if the citizens of that state are despicable, for the most part. As much as I disagree with his speech, he has that right. Calling it “from” Biden is more akin to how Trump viewed the process. I’d hope we were better than that.

13

u/-send_me_bitcoin- Sep 29 '22

Did he believe that New Jersey deserved federal funding or does he think Obama spent his personal tax money on it? Both are true, but which frame he chooses says a lot about him. I'm guessing he wasn't pleased about his tax money going to NJ victims the way he wants NJ taxpayers to help him out.

100%. It's not because of Biden's benevolence that Florida will receive aid. What Trump threatened to do to California during the wildfires, however, what straight up malevolent. Twats like the one in the picture seem to think we elect a ruler.

9

u/IntricateIndult Sep 29 '22

Trump set the precedent of it being optional. Biden did it anyways. I think it's less about giving Biden credit/claiming that he owns it, and more about normalizing a president that does what he's supposed to when shit hits the fan.

Nah. Biden's not that good looking, but you do you.

1

u/DrSchmiggles1717 Sep 29 '22

Funny thing is, most people that receive aid (that abuse it and refuse to work etc etc) are the ones screaming F Biden and Trump won blah blah. I'm all for helping people but not lazy useles fucks.

2

u/AdDifficult7229 Sep 29 '22

Did they try raking the kelp forest?

2

u/pcipnj Sep 29 '22

God, these people are so stupid.

-4

u/ForgotTheBogusName Sep 29 '22

In fairness, it’s not Biden’s aid, it’s a social program paid by all and designed to help any of us in need. It’s not that Biden is great for releasing it (he’s doing exactly what we expect), it’s that withholding this type of aid during an emergency is inhumane and disgusting.

6

u/TriscuitBob Sep 29 '22

It's good to see a president doing what a president is supposed to do. Trump withheld funds for two towns in Washington that were devastated by fires in 2020.

https://dnews.com/biden-releases-federal-funds-for-malden-pine-city/article_c917e55a-671c-11eb-a496-bf497bd6bebc.html

3

u/Kalikhead Sep 29 '22

And don’t forget Iowa when it got hit hard with a durrecho. Trump dragged his feet on that one. A state full of his supporters.

6

u/BullCityPicker Sep 29 '22

Would it be ok if Biden called the governor and withheld the aid until they started investigations into his political opponents?

(I'm not mocking you for taking a high-minded, old-school, ethical approach. You are correct in doing so. Just pointing out the double standard.)

8

u/ForgotTheBogusName Sep 29 '22

I literally said that withholding aid is disgusting.

6

u/BullCityPicker Sep 29 '22

Totally agreed! Biden is fortunately being high-minded. De Santis was wrong for voting against Sandy aid, and Trump was wrong for withholding military aid from the Ukraine for his first impeachable offense.

1

u/frostymugson Sep 29 '22

I don’t think there is a double standard, one was wrong and one is just how you handle emergency aid within the country. Though you gotta love the current state of politics to politicize a national emergency

3

u/ryfitz47 Sep 29 '22

Yes. The idea being that this asshole who will need aid, most likely, is saying fuck you to the dude doing his job while worshipping the dude that would withhold aid.

That's the thing here. Your point is correct but really ignores the hypocrisy, almost as if you're downplaying that.

That's why downvotes

2

u/TheReaLETSGOBROWNIES Sep 29 '22

I have no idea how this statement of fact is getting downvoted. Biden did his job, nothing more. It’s not like he’s out here writing checks from his personal account.

6

u/Jallinostin Sep 29 '22

Yeah, he hasn’t even thrown a single roll of paper towels yet! /s

5

u/NoBongShouldLag Sep 29 '22

The last guy to be POTUS intentionally withheld Covid relief funds from states and cities that didn’t vote for him. That’s why this is newsworthy.

2

u/TheReaLETSGOBROWNIES Sep 29 '22

I understand why it’s newsworthy, but if you think what Trump did was wrong (it was), you should be pleased the current POTUS is at least acting like an adult. But that’s not really the point here. That money wasn’t Trump’s to dole out any more than this is Biden’s, it’s ours, the taxpayer’s for situations just like this.

-2

u/ghueber Sep 29 '22

Ideologies aside, people should understand the head of government/state isn't the owner of that money. The people is.

5

u/NoBongShouldLag Sep 29 '22

Under Trump that’s not what happened.

1

u/Temporary-Eye-6664 Sep 29 '22

Yes just can't fix stupid. Some people you just can't reach. That's how he wants it, so he gets it. Idiot

1

u/custom_fish_69 Sep 29 '22

Those dumbasses probably think dems sent the hurricane

1

u/FireBallz76 Sep 29 '22

And he probably thinks the aid came from Trump's personal bank account. ...

1

u/ODBrewer Sep 29 '22

It's ok Trump will throw him a paper towel.

1

u/saintbad Sep 29 '22

Pure propaganda stooge. You can almost guarantee he has suffered not a whit by ANY of Biden's decisions. He's just hating who he's told to hate.

Someone needs to redraw this as a middle ages tapestry. This level of subjective stupidity is timeless and guaranteed.

1

u/Street_Peace_8831 Sep 29 '22

Can we just all give a collective sigh of relief that their guy isn’t in office. Expecting him to help is like asking a leaf to do your taxes.

1

u/ChuckBorris187 Sep 29 '22

Bless his very very simple mind.

1

u/Chulbiski Sep 29 '22

1

u/WalleyWalli Sep 29 '22

Was in Florida last week for a conference that included a half day on the Beach. There was an idiot walking up and down the beach with an ‘Impeach Biden’ flag looking for reactions.

JFC, this assh*le was so proud of himself. It was pathetic!

2

u/Joey_BagaDonuts57 Sep 29 '22

That's what bringing supersoaker waterguns to the beach is for.

Did we lose our bootstraps in the wind?

1

u/bradford1023 Sep 29 '22

Fuck Floridians.

1

u/snozberry_shortcake Sep 29 '22

Conservatives never want to help anyone else (SOCIALISM!!!), but they fully expect to be helped.

1

u/Available-Elevator69 Sep 29 '22

Damn Democrat's sending all their Hurricanes to Florida.

1

u/crazypants9 Sep 29 '22

DeSantis voted against sending aid to hurricane Sandy victims. How would you like that, Florida?

-3

u/Necessary_Factor_303 Sep 29 '22

lmao based conservative

-2

u/leftfootlimp Sep 29 '22

Screw the government in general. Foolish bipartisan sheep think they actually care about us.

4

u/cheesefondue Sep 30 '22

Especially the trumpy ones. Wow. Talk about sheep that don’t care about their country

What is their weird fetish of showing your total lack of education and morals by waving flags that are meant to insult others?

u/TriscuitBob Sep 29 '22

You're right, but I look at someone like Gov. DeSantis, who when he was a Florida Rep, before he became Governor, voted against aid for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. He of course will now gladly accept aid for his state. Republicans tend to want aid that they would deny others, so making fun of this idiot and his flag seems warranted. Of course he should get help, as we all should. But it seems par for the course with conservatives. When the towns of Malden, WA and Pine City, WA burned down in 2020, Trump withheld aid. Biden was elected and a few weeks later aid was finally released. https://dnews.com/biden-releases-federal-funds-for-malden-pine-city/article_c917e55a-671c-11eb-a496-bf497bd6bebc.html
